I received this a little before Thanksgiving, an early Christmas gift to myself and I love it!!



Plus Lynn was such a sweetheart to work with, the original apron was in green and all I had to do was ask her if she could make it in gray for me. She has lots more amazing aprons for sale, for kids and adults in all kinds of patterns/prints. The apron is beautifully stitched and fits perfectly; I couldn't be more pleased!



I love cooking and baking even more now because I look extra cute and stylish in my custom-made apron!!

Etsy favorite

One of my favorite shops on Etsy is Jill's GreenTea Jewels.  

Her jewelry is sweet,stylish and amazingly created and I always receive compliments on her pieces. She makes necklaces (regular and minimal sized), earrings and bracelets.

I purchased this simple yet delicate and classy necklace last year which I wear all.the.time.
 
I also purchased this necklace but I gave it away on a blog giveaway...


One of my favorite parts of her jewelry is actually receiving the package, the time and effort she spends in wrapping and presenting her items is stunning. She writes little notes/labels on the patterned paper and I always feel bad about ripping into her hard work :)

I just bought this special heart necklace;it is originally made with 6 hearts but I asked Jill if she could give me just 5 (since I have 5 Lovebugs...) and she did it for me with no extra charge!


When I opened my package I saw a little something extra for me;an adorable pair of silver drop earrings! Just a little "thank-you" type surprise from Jill as a returning customer.

Sunday's Loves: target + black & white

Target: One of the things I love about Target is their dollar section! It is pretty rare that I exit target withOUT something from there in my bag. This time of year it is especially awesome with their fun little valentine's day trinkets and decorations. I stocked up all for under $10.

Also, I love their picture frame section because they usually have something neat on sale or else they have cute frames that are cheap. I bought a cool package that had 3 different sized frames and a little "live love laugh" plaque for only $20! Also, I stocked up on some art frames so I can hang up some more of my Lovebugs' artwork, and a couple of other pieces of art.

Black and White: I love black and white photos; there is just something so bright and beautiful about their elegance and simplicity. With the pictures frames I bought at Target I printed out some black and white photos of mine and plopped them in. Perfect! And I love that they still stand out in the plethora of my colored photos.

I splurged and bought these online on black friday from Nine West...they were such a great deal plus free shipping. I love them! So, so comfortable and stylish and I like that the zipper is in the back-- an unexpected surprise/detail :)

Jeans Jeans Jeans

Well I think you all know about my recent quest for a pair of jeans that actually fit me lengthwise...hold your breath because....I finally had SUCCESS!! I went to Carson's on Sunday for their "goodwill sale" and their jeans' selections is filled with great brands (like Nine West, Calvin Klein, DKNY,etc) and well priced at $50-70. I was not only able to find one pair of jeans that fit great and are not too long but I found two pairs! And laugh all you want but one pair is actually a pair of  jeggins which I never thought I would like or buy. The best part though is that I had two coupons to use on the jeans and they were already on sale so each pair was just over $30!

Thank you jean-rulers! Now I know where to go for a great pair of jeans :)

My jeans quest is now complete (thank goodness).

Jeans are hard to find

At least they are for me. I am not too tall (let's say 5'3'' on a good day) so jeans are usually long on me which is why I like the "short" or "ankle" cut. However, I tried on over a dozen pair of jeans at Von Maur today, from numerous different brands and none were keepers. Although I liked the Jessica Simpson pairs that I tried on but even the "short" were still slightly long on me. And I know I can get them tailored, I have done that in the past, but I don't want to spend over $60 on the jeans and then another $10-20 to have them tailored. Cheap on my part perhaps, but I don't have a big spending budget right now. I just hope that soon the Jessica Simpson jeans will go on sale :)

Oh and since when in the heck did all the jeans stop being made from denim and are now made from cotton/spandex?!? Granted they are comfortable, but so are regular denim ones.....I checked countless tags and they all were saying cotton/spandex. Weird!!

Do any of you find it hard to buy a decent pair of jeans?

Since I was just at Target yesterday I thought this link-up was fitting.

My recent purchases....

$5 Frame Packs: I bought a teal color set of 4x6 and a silver color set of 8x10. I love them already and I am pretty sure I will be going back tomorrow to buy another set of 8x10.

Command Strips: to hang up my new picture frames

And a "big sister" gift for Lovebug #3. She has the normal size of this unicorn so I thought the little size would be perfect to go along with it.

I LOVE target trips, it is pretty rare that I walk out of the store with zero purchases :)

These are my latest Kohl's find. They were in the clearance for $18! I love the nude color and wedge part. What a steal!

Shoe L-O-V-E

I saw these in the shoe sale room at Von Maur and I fell hard for them. Only catch is that they are $59.

I would even settle for this color choice....

Here is to hoping they are cheaper next week!

why i love target

i could waste a lot of time in target. i love that place. and even if i don't buy something for myself i end up buying something from the dollar section for my lovebugs. just recently i bought them new squirt guns, a horse shoe set and a sand toy for little B and it was all under $5!

purse love

I am in purse love...again.

This time it is with this beautiful Coach one. It normally costs just under $400 (obsecene, I know) but I found it at Von Maur  on sale for $250 and I checked on ebay and that is the price range too. However that is still way more than I should/could and would pay for a purse.

Maybe it will go down to less than $100 soon?! Dreaming, I know :)

But oh man, it is beautiful!!!
