Because sometimes something terrible and horrible happens to remind us to be grateful.
To remind us to be good to one another.
To remind us to not take it all for granted.
To be thankful.
To not dwell on the small things in our daily lives.
To love and be loved.
To be honest and helpful.
To not let evil win.
To support each other through thick and thin.
To stand taller and stronger.
God Bless all those in Boston, especially the first responders and those that were irrevocably changed from the horrific events of yesterday.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all,I hope they bring you some sort of comfort and strength.

heavy heart
Like the rest of the country, I am so saddened by the destruction and devastation left by Hurricane Sandy on the East coast. I cannot even imagine what it is like to have lost everything, or to wait in line for hours just for some gasoline, or to sit in your home with no heat/electricity for days on end.

My thoughts and prayers are with everyone effected by this storm, I hope this week brings better
news and more hope and repair.
I heard this song by Calling Glroy the other day and I think it is a great message to those struggling with the aftermath.
Don't give up
Help is surely on its way
And don't give up
And the dark is breaking in today
And just keep on moving through these storms
And soon enough you'll find the door
Just don't give up
Oh, and don't give up
--Don't Give Up
I wish I could do more for all the people who have to deal with Sandy!
Here is a link to the Red Cross' donation page, if you feel like helping that way.
