It was hard to find these beauties in bloom while I was there (imagine that,too cold for them...) but I was able to find a small cluster of trees in bloom with them by the Kennedy Center on my last day.

They are a gorgeous sight (when you can find them)!

My Dad planted a bunch of sunflowers in the front garden and they are blooming like no one's business! There are different varieties too,some pale yellows, some regular colored and some dark centered ones.
