Like the rest of the country, I am so saddened by the destruction and devastation left by Hurricane Sandy on the East coast. I cannot even imagine what it is like to have lost everything, or to wait in line for hours just for some gasoline, or to sit in your home with no heat/electricity for days on end.
My thoughts and prayers are with everyone effected by this storm, I hope this week brings better
news and more hope and repair.
I heard this song by Calling Glroy the other day and I think it is a great message to those struggling with the aftermath.
Don't give up
Help is surely on its way
And don't give up
And the dark is breaking in today
And just keep on moving through these storms
And soon enough you'll find the door
Just don't give up
Oh, and don't give up
--Don't Give Up
I wish I could do more for all the people who have to deal with Sandy!
Here is a link to the Red Cross' donation page, if you feel like helping that way.

I've been praying for these affected by Sandy. My heart breaks for them :(
ReplyDeleteI pray the community and people of USA can come together anyway we can.
The pictures are so scary!! What an awful time for so many people. It's a relief to see the country pulling together to help out... hopefully all of the people on the East Cost feel the love from around the Country.
ReplyDeleteIt's absolutely heartbreaking what happened!
ReplyDeleteI'm always in shock when I see the pictures!
It is so sad to see what's happened. I live in Philadelphia and thankfully it wasn't too bad here -- just lost our power -- but it breaks my heart to see the pictures of the Jersey shore. I've gone there every summer of my life, and it's awful to see what has happened to it. I hope there is a quick recovery for all!
ReplyDeleteSo devastating. I had to do hurricane relief during Katrina. I wish I was back home to help again!
