F.N.L.
Friday Night Lights is an amazing tv show! Now that I have watched the whole series I am even more saddened that it is all over. Eric and Tami Taylor are one of my favorite tv show couples because their love, dedication, compromise, support and relationship is so life-like and real.
Sure there are some annoying characters: Smash, Buddy, the McCoys, Vince's Dad but there are other characters I loved and rooted for like: Matt, Matt's Grandma, Tyra, Tim Riggins, Becky and Luke. So much heart and drama in this show that it had me on my toes throughout each season. It focuses on family, respect, honesty and being true to a team and one's self.
Great acting, great stories, great characters, great setting!
You don't have to be a football fan to enjoy the show either, it centers and follows a small Texas town football coach's family and team but it showcases more than just football games.
Although I do want to know if this is how high school football teams/players are really treated in the South (I sorta feel like it is true...) but the amount of stuff that the football players do astounded me. Hello, what is the drinking age there and why weren't parents around?! But I like to think it was all tv created too :)
The last episode of the series was perfect and fitting, I loved it! I also was really into a lot of the songs that were used through out the series.
"Clear Eyes, Full Hearts, Can't Lose!"
Go watch it!

I was so excited when I saw this was on Netflix a couple months back. I was sad too when it ended :(
ReplyDeleteI've been following your blog for a while now (since the 15-day challenge) but I just noticed the verse under your picture and I wanted you to know that it hit home for me today! It really touched my heart and I want to thank you for impacting me, even if you didn't know it :) I'd like to do a post on it tomorrow and mention that I saw it via your blog, if it's okay with you?
