At peace

E.L.K.
June 1914- January 2013

98 years and 7 months lived

Raised 1 amazing son

A husband twice over

Grandpa to 7

Great-Grandpa to 5

Served our country during WWII

Sold hearing aids and real estate, ran a bar, was a commander with the American Legion

Loved being a Chicagoan

Proud of his Polish heritage, parents and ancestors

Loved God

Prayed and Honored Him daily,hourly

Strong and healthy

So many stories and memories to share and carry with me

Left us peacefully

My Grandpa will be immensely missed and it still doesn't seem real that he is home in Heaven instead of here with us

Until I see him again, one day

******
I love this verse of Jeremy Camp's song, "there will be a day" because I know that is what Heaven brings and I know my Grandpa is happy, healthy and renewed now:

But I hold on to this hope and the promise that He brings
That there will be a place with no more suffering
