The Language of Flowers by Vanessa Diffenbaugh
The Language of Flowers: A Novel
The Language of Flowers, Vanessa Diffenbaugh’s mesmerizing, moving, and elegantly written debut novel, beautifully weaves past and present, creating a vivid portrait of an unforgettable young woman whose gift for flowers helps her change the lives of others even as she struggles to overcome her own troubled past.

I was intrigued by this book and it held it's promise for the most part. Interesting storyline, the main character was a little too much for me at times and sure I felt bad for her,but also she never fully trusted HERSELF to follow her gut,she always just assumed she would mess it up so why bother waiting around. I thought it was a strange ending with Hazel. I give it a C.

A great book to a gripping series;I love the setting(Chicago) and the main character is kick-ass. A sweet bit of romance and a whole lot of love and family! A quick read that has me trying to figure it all out til the end. An A for sure.

Sugar Queen by Sarah Addison Allen

Another enjoyable and fantastical read by Sarah. You can't help but feel for these women and to root them on. A fast read that uses candy names as chapter titles-fun! I give it an A.

  3. I'm kind of sad to see that you didn't really like The Language of Flowers. It's been on my TBR pile for a long long time and I was hoping to really like it. I've also heard good things about Sarah Addison Allen, I'll have to read one of her books sometime!
