i am still not a "true" runner and i don't care
i run to be healthy and active;whatever happens from it is an added bonus
i run to extend myself and set simple goals
there are some days were i am just too tired/lazy to go for a run after work
there are some days where i don't go because the weather is gross
there are some days when i DO force myself to go
there are some days when the weather is PERFECT for me
i don't own a fancy pair of running shoes (although i am thinking about upgrading my current new balance ones;just looking for a "cheap" pair...)
i wear t-shirts and running shorts/long pants BUT i don't have a big collection of them (i don't like to spend more than $15 max on running garb)
i push myself to run further and harder
sometimes i just putter out and walk when i should just keep running
i still run/walk
i am ALWAYS proud of myself for running each day i do
i am proud of myself for jumping back on the running path after too long
i NEVER regret going for a run :)
I adore all of these truths! They are great and I'm so happy for you to get back on the running path. Your nephew is too cute in the Monkey Post :)
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree with these truths more! I always say, a mile ran, no matter how good or bad it is, is better than sitting on the couch!
