Thursday's truths/It's okay....

Its Ok Thursdays

One of my favorite kitchen utensils is the Pampered Chef spatula, it is awesome and works so well. I also love Crisco's baking spray because my breads come out of the pans with such ease!

I read Chevy Steven's newest book (Never Knowing) and I couldn't put it down. Another intense, dark, disturbing, scary story but I had to finish it. She is quite the writer and definitely original in her characters and plots, that is for sure.

Don't judge me but,I have recently joined the flossing bandwagon. All my life I have brushed my teeth twice a day but never really stuck to a flossing routine. I always get "yelled" at when I have a dentist appointment too, oh well. But now, I am flossing twice a day with those handy little flossing tools. I finally remembered to check them out when I was at Target and since they were on sale I decided to give them a whirl. I like using them and I hope my dentist will be able to tell that I am actually flossing on a regular basis now :)

George Clooney is a good actor and director, etc, etc but I must admit that I am not that big of a fan of his movies. I watched Ides of March  over the weekend (hello, eye candy, Ryan Gosling!) and I was disappointed. It was much darker and more pointless than I originally thought...although is further proof of why I can't stand politics/politicians,they are dirty liars.

I am trying to not drink so much coffee now (Starbucks iced coffees to be exact); I am trying my best to stick with just my morning cup of coffee from home...and not stopping for an iced coffee later in the day. In the past week and a half I have only had one iced coffee! Although I still splurge once a week for a short nonfat fancy drink because I can't go cold turkey.

I really hope Prime Suspect is picked up by another network, mean NBC cancelled it but it is a great show.

I am over and done with reality shows, I realized I could waste spend my time doing other things that are better for me. I never really watched a lot of them anyways (just teen mom, 16 & pregnant, some real housewives, Giuliani and Bill) so it hasn't been that dramatic of a change :)

Since receiving Everyday Pasta for Christmas (thanks, Santa!) I am trying to make a new recipe once a week. I made two last week so I am already passed my goal...

I need to start re-submitting and applying for teaching jobs (yet again) for this coming school year. Fourth year is the charm, right.....??!! Lord, I truly hope so!

I can't believe I will be 25 in a couple months; it seems surreal.

Going to go see Contraband might be on my day-off agenda this week...

  1. Good for you for being a good flosser:) and I completely agree about the Ides of March! I was fine with staring at Ryan Gosling but the movie seemed short and unfinished. Bummer:(

  2. I watched Ideas of March the other day and, also, was not a fan. They are lucky they had some good eye candy in the movie, otherwise it would have been unbearable!
