Seen & Heard

This long weekend included watching two movies and listening to new cds.

I watched The Switch: It was way funnier than I thought, not as lame, and the usual Jennifer Aniston role. Worth a rental or free viewing (we saw it Thanksgiving night when it was free...).

Next I watched Sarah's Key: My Mom and I read this amazing book last year (HIGHLY recommend, by the way) and so we were looking forward to the film version. It was made in France, with French actors, etc (duh!) so there are subtitles (which makes it more fancy/sophisticated..right?). Even with the heavy/sad plot and premise of the overall story it was a great movie. Very vivid and true to the book. I was glad I spent the $1.20 on this redbox rental.

I listened to Michael Buble's new Christmas cd: How can you go wrong with Christmas music?! His voice is so unique and deep...just like the olden days of Bing Crosby, etc. I love his rendition of "white christmas" (which is a duet with Shania Twain!), "it's beginning to look a lot like christmas", "all i want for christmas is you", "holly jolly christmas", "silent night". (i hate the song "santa baby" but his rendition is not too shabby).

AND

I listened to Kelly Clarkson's newest cd as well. I felt that overall it is good but it is sort of heavy on the ballads/angry guy related/slow songs. I love "what doesn't kill you", "dark side", "i forgive you" "breaking your own heart","you can't win". Great lyrics and vocals by Kelly but that isn't a surprise!

What have you watched and listened to recently?
