This week,I read, Morning Glory by Sarah Jio

book-morningglory
Jio imagines life on Boat Street, a floating community on Seattle’s Lake Union — home to people of artistic spirit who for decades protect the dark secret of one startling night in 1959.Fleeing an East Coast life marred by tragedy, Ada Santorini takes up residence on houseboat number seven on Boat Street. She discovers a trunk left behind by Penny Wentworth, a young newlywed who lived on the boat half a century earlier. Ada longs to know her predecessor’s fate, but little suspects that Penny’s mysterious past and her own clouded future are destined to converge.
(thanks to her website)

This was another enjoyable and special read by Sarah! I loved the characters and their pasts and how it all connected. I saw some of the ending coming but was surprised by some as well. I really enjoyed the setting of Seattle and the houseboat community. Fast and fun read;I give it an A.

  2. I loved this one also. I just realized today that I read all her books this year. I was so happy to have gotten Morning Glory as an ARC.
I adore her writing but I wish the books were longer. I hate to see them end.
