The circus arrives without warning. No announcements precede it. It is simply there, when yesterday it was not. I was rather anxious and excited to read this novel because I have heard such great things about it and what a different and unique story it turns out to be! It is one circus I would like to attend;it felt like I was in the tents with everyone. The characters are neat and you wonder what it would be like to be them and to have their powers/gifts at times. Although I must admit I felt that the overall story and romance took way too long to get into, it wasn't boring,per say, I was just waiting for something truly dramatic or exciting to occur for the story and characters. (It was rather slow and a bit too long,it took me over a week to read!) Also,I felt a bit lost at times with regards to not realizing that the performers weren't really aging and that something hooky was going on in the background. Overall,it was a wonder of a read and it kept my attention,nothing I loved but I didn't hate it nor did it make me mad at the end. I give it a C.
