coffee with Bestie P and I bought two tops from Von Maur

then I went downtown for the night and met up with Besties B and M for Chicago's Oktoberfest! Such a fun night!!

Sixteen Candles closed out the night--what a cool 80s cover band!!

Sunday

Mass then brunch with my parents and twin sister at one of our Aunt and Uncle's. Then I made dinner and started packing for my weekend trip to Omaha!!

weekend:NC style

This weekend I enjoyed my last day of vacation and then headed home Saturday (arriving super early on Sunday morning,to be exact) from a week long trip to the Outer Banks of North Carolina.  What a great,peaceful and enjoyable time it was---and a much needed break for me.

thursday's thoughts

I am leaving for the Outer Banks, NC bright and early tomorrow morning!! A week long road trip with Older Sister J and her family. Lucky Lovebugs 1,2,4,they are going to soak up a lot of Auntie V time.

I can't wait to see and explore all that the Outer Banks has to offer!

I am beyond pumped to have some time off of work!!

I am looking forward to dinner tonight with the parents and twin sister,we are going for burgers and beer at a local restaurant.

I cannot believe it is the last day of July---where the heck has the Summer gone?!

I am truly crushed that I still am not in my own classroom,no matter how hard I have been trying these last five years,nothing is working out for me in the end.

I have been applying for other types of jobs now....I am looking for a great company or business that supports a good cause and helps people. I am researching Veterans organizations and of course, the March of Dimes. I just want to help others and be a part of something bigger and better.

I still am lost in His way and plan....I am trying to stay calm and not worry about it all but I just can't. I am trying to listen to Him but I think I'm missing something. I trust Him,I do,I just am confused.

I really need to start working out again after this vacation...no more laziness,"excuses" and just lack of motivation. I must!!!

a Summer weekend

Friday, I took the day off of work for a dr's appointment and brunch/mani/pedi with Bestie P. I did some reading and watching of the Tour de France,too. A glorious day!

Bestie E's wedding! What a sweet,beautiful ceremony and bride and groom! A great celebration of their new life together and so much fun was had!!

church,watched the Tour, read more of The Dead Will Tell ,took a nap!

I did my Saturday cleaning, then drank some wine and ate homemade turkey meatball sandwiches with fresh veggies for dinner.Chilled out in front of the tv.

Saturday

Up early,stopped at Starbucks for coffee and then drove up to Lake Geneva with the Besties! We celebrated Bestie E's bachelorette weekend! There could not have been a more prefect day for this! Glorious weather,an awesome time was had with all the girls and delicious food was eaten.

Father's day was low-key but it was just what my Dad wanted. And I accomplished some things and finished reading,Songs of Willow Frost

Nashville: Day 3

The Nashville Zoo! We loved walking around the pretty paths,the day was sunny and in the high 70s so perfection! 

                                     

                                             

A staple in Nashville,the Pancake Pantry for lunch...tasty pancakes,I ordered the Banana Bread ones and they were decent (filled with too many walnuts though...I hate nuts in my breads/muffins,etc lol)

                                         

Then we went to the Grand Ole Opry! What a neat tour backstage it was!
