Up first was the newest novel by one of my favorite chick-lit authors, Kristan Higgins. Until There Was You.
Posey Osterhagen can't complain. She owns a successful architectural salvaging company, she's surrounded by her loveable, if off-center, family and she has a boyfriend—sort of. Still, something's missing. Something tall, brooding and criminally good-looking...something like Liam Murphy.
When Posey was sixteen, the bad boy of Bellsford, New Hampshire, broke her heart. But now he's back, sending Posey's traitorous schoolgirl heart into overdrive once again. She should be giving him a wide berth, but it seems fate has other ideas...

Then I read Kathryn Cushman's A Promise to Remember.
Andie Phelps is the envy of Santa Barbara. A devoted mother with a loving son and a successful husband, her greatest joy comes from reaching out to others.
Melanie Johnston is the envy of no one. A single mom who works long hours to pay the bills, and her greatest joys relate to her teen daughter and son.
Then the accident that changes everything. When opposite worlds collide, the impact reaches far beyond these mothers’ personal losses.
Two wounded women…Two families seeking hope…A community torn apart… How far will they go to fulfill A Promise to Remember?

I really like Kathryn's writing/books; and I love that they have a religion/God relationship side to them as well. I did however want a little more interaction between Andie and Melanie but I liked their progression and growth as they learned how to grieve for their sons. I give this book an A.
Go tell us what you read over on Heather's blog...
